How is everyone today?
How is your attitude today?
This is something I have been convicted of lately. What does God’s Word say about attitude? Well, quite a bit actually!
Hebrews 13:15 says: Therefore by Him, let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Also Philippians 2:14 says: Do all things without complaining or disputing.
And this one really speaks to me. Philipians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God..
So, there you go. No bad attitudes.
Here is the practical application for this though. We are in a fight for our souls and the souls of our loved ones. In all honesty, what side are we on when we grumble and complain? Does God not promise to always give us what we need and what is best for us? Maybe it would be better to align our hearts to Him and His will rather than complaining about things that we think we need or that we think should happen. When we do that, we are thinking in the natural sense, about protecting our flesh. And what warrior ever won a battle by whining and complaining and pampering themselves?
I am so thankful that the Lord graciously shows me points in my life that need His divine intervention. Aren’t you?
